Huskies and the Magic of Finnish Lapland at the Finnish Embassy

Mardi 12 novembre 2024 de 12h30 à 15h00 sur inscription

Presented by the Finnish and the German Groups of Femmes d’Europe with the support of the Finnish Embassy.

Programme

13h15 : Conference in English by Amanda Klekowski von Koppenfels

12h30 : Buffet with Finnish specialities and German cakes

Amanda has spent the first three months of this year in Finnish Lappland north of the Arctic Circle working on a husky farm. She experienced the cold of the arctic winter, where she worked and lived with the huskies. She learned how to take care of the dogs, the tourists and experienced the wonderful world of life in the very north of our continent.

In this conference Amanda will share her experiences and take us with her to a life that is so very different from the one we all know and live in our more populated and warmer climes.

Amanda is an American living in Brussels for many years with her German husband. She works as a professor for politics and as a consultant.
