The UK Group of the Association Femmes d’Europe is pleased to invite you to

The Brontës in Brussels

A talk in English by Helen MacEwan

followed by traditional English tea and cakes

Did you know that Charlotte and Emily Brontë, the authors of the best-sellers Jane Eyre and
Wuthering Heights, spent two years in Brussels ?

Two of Charlotte’s novels are set in Brussels and inspired by her time here.

Helen MacEwan will talk about this little-known literary link and about why Charlotte’s time here was so important for her.
Helen is the founder of the Brussels Brontë Group and author of The Brontës in Brussels.
