A Word from our President

Dear Members and Friends,

I am delighted to welcome you back. We look ahead with renewed enthusiasm to a dynamic new season, opening with a rich programme of events and activities, while continuing to celebrate and pay tribute to 50 years of solidarity, friendship and commitment !

At the European level, the focus is increasingly on topics closely aligned with the values that have guided our Association and been put into concrete action for 50 years: gender equality, (with the EU’s new Gender Equality Strategy 2026–2030); the fight against poverty, (EU’s first-ever Anti-Poverty Strategy in May 2026); as well as the protection of children and social inclusion.

We invite you all to join us at our forthcoming events [click here], including our Big Second Hand Sale/Brocante for a first time, then our Grand Charity Gala to be held at Bozar on the occasion of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and, of course, our much-loved Christmas Bazaar.

This year, the Bazaar will take place at a new venue, Rue Philippe Le Bon 3; a magnificent new setting for this special event!

As we continue celebrating this very special anniversary, we also invite you to make a 50th Anniversary Donation [click here], to follow us on our social media (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn) and to invite new friends to join us. Every single gesture counts and is precious to our beloved Association.
